On his third outing with LA vinyl imprint Into The Woods, producer/selector Jimmy Maheras fuses the sounds of Detroit and Los Angeles together for a release that continues in the spirit of warehouse inspired techno, house, and electro that germinates from his monthly Into The Woods party series hosted with Mor Elian.

The title track, “The Odyssey of Flight 33,” bubbles up with dubbed chords and stabs that float and wobble over a clap and tom ride fit for 3AM. “Nightsong” follows the formula in spirit but percolates with punchy drums and stabs. Finishing out the release is a full bodied Basic Soul Unit remix of “Odyssey” that beefs up and pitches down the chords and drives a heavy rhythm into a wall of sound tinged with hypnotic dystopia.
